Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is an Insurance-ready form?
A: This is a form detailing the charges incurred at each visit, and it contains all information required by the insurance company (e.g., your name, physician’s name, date of service, type of service, diagnostic and procedural codes, etc.) for processing your request for reimbursement of your clinic costs. Please consult your insurance company prior to scheduling with Dr. Alloju, as reimbursement policies vary.
Q: Why are some patients referred for counseling?
A: Counseling or psychotherapy is often an important part of a thorough treatment plan and necessary to optimize wellness. Your sessions with Dr. Alloju are for medication management; thus, when counseling or psychotherapy is appropriate, Dr. Alloju refers patients to carefully chosen counselors and Psychologists.
Q: Why are some patients referred for medical follow-up?
A: Psychiatric symptoms can be manifestations of physical illness. When appropriate, Dr. Alloju will order and interpret labs and/or refer you to a medical specialist to rule out potential physical causes of psychiatric illness. This is often an important component of a thorough Psychiatric workup.
